PHOTOREJUVENATION
Photorejuvenation is the only noninvasive method which, in a comprehensive manner, significantly reduces or completely removes the skin damages caused by the sunlight.
The treatment is carried out using IPL (intense pulsed light source) which works in a very similar way as a laser does. The light is emitted with different wavelengths and propagates at the same time in all directions. This allows a simultaneous elimination of different photo aging effects. IPL treats the skin through the phenomenon of a selective light energy absorption and changing it into heat.
Procedure description
The procedure can be performed on the face, neck, chest and hands and takes about 20-60 min. Anesthesia is not required, but for sensitive individuals it is possible to be applied. The doctor places on the skin a cold gel and irradiates it with a series of short shots. IPL is equipped with a filter which absorbs the harmful ultra-short waves. During the procedure these filters can be changed in order to obtain a particular light wavelength. This makes it possible to remove different kinds of skin lesions (since different light wavelengths fight different skin problems – one works on the vascular changes, other remove discoloring, and yet another stimulates the production of the collagen).
